3 Reasons YOU Should Have a Spring Session
(That don’t include taking photos simply to feed the social media gods…)
Okay, okay…
Before you write me off completely!
There are so many reasons to have a session but I’ve boiled it down to my top three!
Make it a (Family) date day!
This is a great opportunity to see more of your community and support other local businesses! Make a day of it by stopping for lunch at a great little restaurant, taking a tour through one of our galleries, or playing a few games at my favorite family-friendly board game bar (hint: it’s right below my studio)! Sessions should be an experience in themselves, and adding activities for the whole family before or after can take you from “ugh, didn’t we do family photos last year?” to “Perfect, I remember what a fun day we had last time we took photos!”
use it as an excuse to look and feel your best
I am ALL in favor of a self-care day… but sometimes it feels like I need an excuse to have one! Consider this your reason to get a pedicure, pull that cute pastel jumpsuit from the back of your closet, and do a face mask the night before! Those are all things that I, personally, would do… but make it your own! Consider that a polished look (I’m talking maintained nails and ironed/steamed outfits) can give you maximum style points with minimal work.
get out of the fall photo rut
Fall is my favorite season so I absolutely see the appeal of photos with crisp leaves and autumn colors. What I don’t love about fall photos is that they start to run together, even when they’re gorgeous! It’s fun to see the growth of your family over time so minis and limited edition sessions are a great way to add different looks and seasons to your family’s artwork!
