Birth Session: Dax Van

Birth stories are my absolute favorite! Each one is entirely unique and they end in tiny baby fingers and toes! This one was extra special for me because it was for one of my very best friends. Here's a short story on the experience from my perspective!

I woke up at 6am with a text from Lisa saying that they were heading into the hospital and she would let me know if they were being admitted. By 10:30 I was headed to the hospital myself! Lisa and Brad were excitedly (and rather calmly, might I add) waiting in the room while the doctor and nurses prepared. Lisa did SO GREAT. A few awesome pushes and little man couldn't wait to see the world!

The most exciting part of this birth session was seeing the family bond. It was beautiful to see the way a new father looks at his son. When their older daughters arrived they were very excited to meet their little brother. When Kennedy held him, she said, "this is going to be my favorite shirt forever." Blaire was a bit nervous at first but pretty soon she was snuggled up with her mom and new baby brother, counting fingers and toes!

Congratulations to this wonderful family, and thanks for letting me document this wonderful chapter of your story!
