Lindsey + Neal | Dingies Day at The Overlook in Kent, OH
The first thing I learned about this family was that they’re a unit. Tight-knit, supportive, everything you want in a family! Neal + Lindsey’s family even hashtagged all of their wedding festivities: #dingiesday How cute is that?! Lindsey’s mom came to their engagement sessions to take care of Junie B. after she completed her dog-modeling! We spent time at Quail Hollow in Hartville, then headed over to the town square!
THEN IT WAS DINGIES DAY! From the start, it was a day full of laughter and love. The Overlook in Kent, Ohio is a beautiful spot and I was lucky enough to shoot two weddings there in 2019. Lindsey is very close with her mother and sister so a few of my favorite photos are of them helping her get ready.
If you can’t tell by the photos, we had the absolute PERFECT day. There were so many beautiful moments and the weather was just the perfect accent. I tried a new angle at this wedding, getting permission from Lindsey + Neal to walk behind them for their first kiss. Luckily, I have the best second shooters in the world (shoutout to Lisa for this one!!) to back me up in case it was a bust. I love being able to take risks because I can trust my partners. I think this one was a success!
Lindsey + Neal opted for a traditional ceremony, which meant no First Look, so we took individual bridal parties before the wedding then full bridal party after. I really enjoyed having two photo times because I captured the nerves and sheer excitement with their besties, then the fun and silliness with their full party!
I wanted to separate their bridal session because there were honestly too many beautiful photos to pick just a few!
This reception was one of my favorites for the year. Rock the House Entertainment got the party started and kept it going going the entire evening. Oh, and Neal is the bomb at doing the worm!! I also got to see one of my 2017 wedding couples, which was such a fun blast from the past!
