5 Places to Visit When You're in Boulder

My family recently took a trip to Boulder, Colorado to see my aunt. We try to go at least once a year (because it's my favorite place aside from home) so we're always looking for different adventures! Here are some of the wonderful things we've done. NOTE: You'll see a few photos from past trips scattered in, as well!

1. Nederland

Nederland is a small town tucked in the Rocky Mountains. We were lucky enough to stop into Ned during the High Peaks Art Festival. The kids loved getting their faces painted and we loved walking around to see the town. Ned also has an awesome carousel that Nick and I somehow loved more than the kids did!

2. Estes Park (winter and summer)

On our way across the Peak to Peak Highway, we stopped at the Stanley Hotel. If you aren't familiar, The Stanley Hotel has been home to multiple famous movies like The Shining and Dumb & Dumber. While we were there we walked around the grounds, took a picture on the steps and let the kids run in the maze! Just look at that view!

3. Rocky Mountain National Park (winter and summer)

When driving up through Rocky Mountain National Park you can drive the Peak to Peak Highway. I've had the opportunity to do this twice now! This time was far more exciting because we saw a large group of people pulled off to the side of the road and we said, "let's see what they're looking at!" So we stopped and we got to see a moose with its baby!

4. Pearl Street Mall (summer)

Maybe the coolest part of Boulder to me is Pearl Street! If you haven't been there before, it's the best spot to shop, eat delicious food and watch street performers! Street performers come from all over the country to share their talents. We got to see an inverted piano player, a contortionist and a fire juggler.

5. Parks!

My last one isn't a specific place but it goes without saying that Colorado has beautiful scenery. One of my favorite things about Colorado is the people's way of life: always outdoor, staying active and taking care of the environment. While in Colorado, we always make a point to explore new parks and walking paths. Here are just a few photos of my favorite humans enjoying their time in the beautiful outdoors!

A huge thank you to Aunt Laura for letting us four crazies disrupt her otherwise peaceful life!

Special shoutout to Nick for being the coolest partner + second shooter I could ever hope for!
